The IDF™ team has been busy preparing for a spring season full of conferences and expos related to food research, fitness trends, and more! While we always look forward to this time of year, 2016 has presented more events than ever to sponsor and attend. Read on to learn more about our first culinary-focused event in 2016.
IDF’s RCA Booth
Our IDF™ representatives shared our dehydrated bone broth and other broth products in 2016 at the Research Chefs Association Annual Conference & Culinology® Expo from March 8 to 11 in beautiful Denver, Colorado. For the first time ever, we showcased a broth bar, complete with a variety of our broth options and enhancers. In addition to our broth bar, we shared our Fondation™ and Chicken Butter™. Our representatives were on hand to educate visitors on the vast nutritional benefits and cooking uses of our broths.
“We looked forward to sponsoring this year’s RCA expo in Denver for a lot of reasons,” said our Business Development and Marketing Manager, Erin Danastasio. “We sampled some of our broths, including our new Umami Gold broth. Chef Rob has developed infusions that have fun, on-trend flavor profiles that are really inspiring for new applications, which I think the visiting chefs really enjoyed.”
About the RCA Conference & Culinology® Expo
While we were taking breaks from our own culinary expertise demonstrations and sponsorship duties, our representatives enjoyed the other aspects of the RCA Conference & Culinology® Expo that make it a stand-out event (that’s why we’ve been attending since 1999!). There were dozens of seminars, workshops, tours, and tastings to attend in addition to opportunities to meet and talk with more than a thousand other food product development professionals. Plus, this conference was hosted in a city dominated by up-and-coming restaurants and food trends, so it nearly goes without saying that we ventured out to the streets of Denver to try a few things for ourselves.
One reason IDF sponsors this event is because the RCA’s efforts indirectly support our research and development of natural chicken broth powder ingredients. Thanks to organizations like the Research Chefs Association, such research and development is not only possible, but is encouraged by a supportive professional community of over 2,000 members who are all dedicated to improving the future of food by blending culinary art and science.
